The Wishin' Paid Off!!

We had a great weekend. We headed to Texas and spent the day with my family, and some of my Dad's side of the family at the lake. We weather was beautiful, just a little windy. Our plans for Preston to have his first boat ride, fell through, because of the white capped waves from the wind. But Preston was none the wiser. He sure kept Thomas and I on our toes (feet). He ran and ran and one time we thought he was going to fall off into the water (a heart stopping moment). But we had good fish and fellowship. We stayed with my sister and Carson and Preston got to play and run around. Sunday morning we headed to The Diner for breakfast. Can you say YUMMMMYYYY!?!!!! It was delicious. I am sad but glad that we do not have places like that to eat in our hometown. After breakfast, we headed to Toys R Us. We practically had the place to ourselves. Preston sat in every one (no joke) of the battery powered cars. He just went down the line "test driving" each one. He ended up with too much, but at least one of the purchases was a birthday present. All in all it was a GREAT WEEKEND!!!

Thankful for:

*A delicious breakfast

*A great trip to Toys R Us

*Preston and Carson getting to play at Toys R Us without there being any crowds

*A safe trip home

*Even though Preston did not take much of a nap...he fell asleep at 8:20...he crawled in my lap and was out like a light

*Preston loves his "Buzz" action figure

*the bulbs that I planted have sprouted big time

*When I told Preston to give Carson and hug and tell him thank you for letting him spend the night, Preston walked up to Carson and they hugged...so sweet those two boys

Thankful for:

*Preston sleeping in...he woke up after I have left for work

*Great weather

*Going to Turner's Pond, with our 2 nephews and Preston, and having a quick little fishing trip

*When Preston saw the ducks at the pond, he said "Quack Quacks"

*Preston now says or yells "Buzzzz" when he sees the Buzz "doll"

*A good Monday at work (we had to cut the day short because the entire city was out of power...the main line into the city was cut or blew up and it took almost 4 hours to get the power back...the hospital was on backup generator and we are not supposed to do elective surgery while on generator....so it was an early day for us (just had to cancel one surgery))
