What is a mother to do? Kiddie pool in the backyard, with of course water in it. A little boy home from his Grandma's with his Daddy, ready to go outside and play. Said little boy runs straight for the pool, Nikes and all. Little boy dives head and hands first into pool with feet hanging over the sides. What is a mother to do? Take off his socks and shoes and let him play. Or that is what I did this afternoon. After a couple of minutes, you could tell that the diaper was about to explode. So to avoid a complete meltdown (which came about 45 minutes later when we came inside) I simply undressed him and let him play in his pool in his "birthday suit". He had a blast. We have a privacy fence and the sun was not shining directly on us. What harm did it cause? None in my opinion. He had a blast and I laughed and laughed at him sliding down the slide and splashing around. Oh to be a little toddler again!!
