Where has August Gone?

Thankful for:
*another day of working 2 hours over my scheduled shift (not on call or scheduled late person)...when I clock in tomorrow I will only have to work an hour and then it will be overtime
*making homemade patty melts for dinner...yummy...even sauteed the onions while frying the bacon...can you say fattening but oh so good
*Preston actually not fighting going to sleep at 9:15

Thankful for:
*Happy Friday the 13th...I used to hate this day working in the health care field, but it didn't even faze me today
*Being on call all weekend
*Finally getting out of my bad mood at around lunch time...why do I let others effect my mood?
*pay day!!!!
*my leg  finally showed some real progress in the healing process...FINALLY!
*getting called back to work...but the patient and family were super nice...makes getting called in a little better
*getting off work at 2:00pm (hooray...not after 5pm today)

Thankful for:
*completing Preston's Birthday book...view here
*getting simple pleasures out of everyday...for example, I am playing the Thanks a Million game that Brookshire's is currently doing, I get excited to open each game ticket and see if I have a new piece to add to my board, call me silly but I do get excited!!!
*Preston and I acting silly after his nap, I laid down on the floor with him in his play room and he started using my back as a racetrack/road for his cars, I am super ticklish, I started laughing, then he started laughing and then we couldn't stop
*having to only go back into work for a couple of hours

Thankful for:
*WOW...where has the month of August gone? we are already half way through
*already thinking about Halloween costumes for Preston, several ideas have already been vetoed by Dad
*Preston now calls me Mommy when he wants something, so sweet but he so knows how to work Mommy to get what he wants
*as of typing this, at 5:40pm, I have not had to go back to work, keeping my fingers and toes crossed
*now looking at the time, I need to get supper in the oven, we must be crazy to turn the oven on in this 100 degree weather
